Read the market through the lens of time.
The market moves in four quarters, nested across every timeframe. Learn to read the sequence — then time the move with confidence.
Quarters are the doors. SSMT divergence is the key.
Both are NY-AM — both a Daily Q3, both print an SSMT divergence between quarters. Read the chain — the nested quarters — and only one is a door worth trading.
The key, the wrong door
The chain, the real door
Same Daily quarter, different nest. The chain is what makes an SSMT a QS SMT.
Watch the framework happen
Press play (or scrub) — the quarters shade in, the cycles chain in sequence, and the divergence “key” prints. A synthetic teaching session, not live data.
Two indicators to start reading the quarters
Coming soon to TradingView.
QS True Opens
Plots every cycle's true open — then reads the order they stack in, and tells you when all three correlated markets agree.
- Stacked True Opens — three or more opens in unbroken price order, all leaning the same way
- Synced True Opens — that same stack, in the same order, on all three correlated markets
- Alerts on all of it — a stack forming, the markets syncing, price crossing an open
- Nine cycles, Nano to Generational — red above (premium), green below (discount)
QS Chains Pro
Reads every cycle's quarters at once — and marks the door where enough of them chain into a sequence.
- Draws up to seven days ahead — next week's doors before they open
- Nine cycle rows: Generational · Quadrennial · Yearly · Monthly · Weekly · Daily · 90m · Micro · Nano
- Filter the ribbon down to only the quarters that chain
- Doors shaded on price, deeper where more cycles agree — plus alerts when one opens
Want to see the ribbon first? The original Quarter Sequence Chains is free on TradingView — it draws the chains and projects them to the end of the trading day.

Free, visual guides to Quarterly Theory and Quarter Sequence — and how to read them. A growing library, taught from the ground up. Begin with the reading path — the framework, the bias, the key, the trigger — then go as deep as you like.
What is Quarterly Theory?
The market moves in four nested quarters, across every timeframe. Here is the whole framework — in plain language, with visuals that move as you read.
Read the guide →Questions, answered
Do you give signals or trade calls?
No. Quarter Sequence is educational — it teaches a framework and provides charting tools and indicators that show market structure. You make every decision. We never provide signals, calls, or any promise of profit.
What’s the difference between Quarterly Theory and Quarter Sequence?
Quarterly Theory is the underlying framework — the market moving in four nested quarters. Quarter Sequence is Quarterly Theory, read in sequence: the quarters stacked across timeframes, the divergence that unlocks them, and the indicators that surface it.
Do the indicators repaint?
No. The indicators use confirmed-bar logic — what you see on a closed bar stays.
Which indicator should I start with?
QS Chains Pro shows where the quarters chain into a door; QS True Opens adds the bias that suggests which side of it to favour. Both are coming soon — until then, The Study teaches the whole framework from the ground up.
